HomeWemyss Vintage MaltsWemyss. It's easier to say than to read - you pronounce it "weems". It's the Scots word for caves - as in the caves that pepper the rocky shore of Fife, Scotland where Wemyss Castle looks out to sea. As well as being the name of an imposing castle, and an historic family, it is now a very special range of hand crafted malt whiskies. About UsAbout Us

(Whisky Magazine (Issue59)) ''Spice King''84/100(...) ''Excellent spices very late on..''’’ (Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2007) ''Smooth Gentleman''83/100 (...) ''the malts tuck into the tastebud with aplomb showing some sticky barley sugar along the way'' (Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2007) ''Peat Chimney''80/100 (...) ''does have some excellent spicy/toffee moments'' (Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2007) ''Peat Chimney''***(...) ''the peat makes its presence felt as the whisky stands in its glass. The palate immediately brings to mind the Skye malt Talisker, with its peat, earth and pepper characteristics, and there a hint of ginger too, late in the extremely lengthy finish.''
